Larry Tucker
1931 Ford Model A Coupe
Elizabethtown,Kentucky

My Dad was a simple man didn’t want for to much, but the things he needed and the tools he needed to do the job around his farm after he retired. He spent from 1965 to 1998 working for General Electric in Louisville,a blue collar worker on the line making a dollar taking care of his Family…now I am not saying his life was perfect none of ours are,but he was the Best Dad & Husband he could be.One thing I can say is he lived one Hell of a life,he drank a lot, enjoyed his toys, spending time with his friends or Brothers as he would call them, spent his first few hours after work at the local Tavern drinking, playing pool a little gambling then come home eat, play with us and go to bed, only to do it all over again. My Dad lived to the beat of a Merle Haggard song….a “Good Ole’ Boy” I guess you could call him he never hurt no one and really never meant to,but at the drop of a hat if he felt you where doing him wrong…to quote him he would say “I’ll Bust Your Head”.
Good Ole’ Boys…we are all the same never meaning no harm to anyone just living life, and a wild hair every once in a while.Larry Tucker is that man…now I am not saying he drinks or gambles but Larry enjoys life, his Friends or Brothers as even he would say.I personally love spending time and conversation with Larry,he is fun to be around and with Larry it’s never a dull moment, but Larry enjoys his toys and has a real passion for Hot Rods and has had this love since he was 16.Larry’s first car was a 67 Camaro with a 61 Corvette soon to follow,he has been married to his wife for six years and between them they have four sons and a daughter, his youngest son Harley shares in Larry’s passion for Hot Rods and enjoys going to the local cruise-ins and shows with his Dad.Larry’s wife shares  his interest in old cars also and supports his passion, but at the same time he supports her interest,it’s so easy to be a good Wife or Husband just Live,Love share conversation, keep the door always open and be respectful of each others wants, needs and feelings. Some folks make it so difficult, they pull and tug at each other always wanting their way letting their own ego or need to win a argument guide them….just Love her or him as you did when you first meet,go back to that moment and just re-live that special time when you couldn’t get enough of them,it’s there but we give up so easy.
I asked Larry do you ever get burnt out or to the point that your just ready to quit Hot Rodding? He told me no and I hope I never do,I personally think that Larry has it all figured out…he doesn’t take it so serious,he knows that dealing with a builder and finding those correct parts take time and Larry has made a good friend in Jason Graham of Jason Graham Hot Rods,ya see Jason is the builder of this little Coupe and is also currently building two more cars for Larry.Jason like Larry my Dad and myself are just Good Ole’ Boys living a dream and having fun not taking things to serious, and as you can tell Jason builds one mean ass Hot Rod….more on that later because we will be doing a behind the scenes with Jason and his wife Tasha at their shop in Portland,Tn real soon.

Larry supports and takes care of his family with his own business…a locksmith by trade and enjoys every moment of life,I asked him if there is one thing he could change about his life what would it be?
He quickly said I would change nothing, because good or bad I am the best Husband and Father I can be and it’s all my experiences of the past that has shaped me into what I am today….Any regrets? None he said.
Larry is a good friend to have and I know he cherishes all his friendships…you can tell he does not just by words but action, thru respect, kindness, fellowship and compassion, this is what we are meant to do,we help others when their down and we lift them up to us and share our joy with them…our Father in Heaven says “above all Love one another”.God Bless my Brother I am Thankful to know you and have you in my life.
